Harmony Music School (previously known as Harmony Road Music School), was founded in 2008 by musicians Irina Roshal and Ella Borisenko. Both Irina and Ella graduated from Belarus Music Colleges majoring in piano, choir conducting, and music theory. Prior to the school's opening, Ella and Irina have successfully completed the "Harmony Road Music" course, designed by Jan Keyser, and were granted permission to teach this course at their school. Form the start, the school gained popularity in the local community and the number of students grew rapidly. Today school offers lessons in piano, guitar, violin, voice, and ensemble lessons.

School director/owner - Alexandra Suhoy, concert pianist, teacher, and composer. Mrs. Suhoy teaches piano, ensemble, music theory, and computer music. She received Master's degree from Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University and Bachelor's degree from Gnesin’s College of Music in Moscow: Gnesin's Alumni- Alexandra Further professional studies at Glier’s College of Music, Kiev State Conservatory, and Towson University. Winner of Chamber Ensemble Competition (USSR,1988); All-Union Piano Competition of Soviet Composers (Moscow,1987); Music Theory Competition (Moscow, 1987); Haddonfield Symphony International Competition (NJ, 1994); Radio Premier on “Performance Today”, (National Public Radio, 1995). Numerous solo and chamber performances in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, and USA. Faculty member of Baltimore Music School (currently Janna Friedman Music School) since 1995, Baltimore Hebrew University (1993-2000), and New Shiloh School of Music of Morgan State U-ty (1995-1998). Author of instrumental compositions, vocal, piano, ensemble, and orchestra arrangements. Published Music Book: "23 POPULAR PIANO DUETS and TRIOS" (2013). In collaboration with songwriter Yelena Feldman, released two Record Albums: "Some Day" and "Cup of Tea" (2003, 2011). Alexandra’s students won Music-Fest Rising Talents and American Fine Arts Festrival competitions in Piano Solo & Piano Ensemble categories, and performed at the Carnegie Hall in New York (2010, 2014, 2015, 2016).

Harmony Music School (HMS) provides professional music education in Owings Mills, Maryland, encourages music and art appreciation, and promotes public performances of students and professionals.

School goals are to teach students to play an instrument, to build a diversified music education, to develop strong performance skills, and to instill love for music.
